Resident Evil Village is set a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and sees protagonist Ethan Winters return for the next round of evil. Chris Redfield, a frequent character in the franchise, will also make a cameo appearance. His presence will set off a chain of events that will eventually lead Ethan to a snow-covered village.
Both the big unknown and our desire to explore it – as well as our dread of or struggle for survival against what we find – are inherently human. Resident Evil Village game, continuing Ethan Winters' journey in a new setting, the titular village in a fictional Eastern European country. Even though Resident Evil 7's first-person viewpoint is still present, Capcom has added some classic flavours to the mix. The village looks like a Resident Evil 4 remix, but the gameplay is more akin to RE2 or Code Veronica. The village is bigger and wilder than its grounded predecessor, but unlike Resident Evil 5 and 6, it doesn't go full action hero mode. Capcom has skillfully expanded upon an already solid basis in modern survival horror.
